What we collect
When a customer clicks your TikTok ad and starts a WhatsApp chat, Meta sends us a webhook notification. We receive only the information needed to attribute the conversation:
- The WhatsApp phone number ID that received the message.
- The customer's WhatsApp ID (an anonymized identifier, not the phone number).
- The message timestamp and a unique message ID.
- TikTok click identifiers (ttclid) passed through the ad URL.
How we use it
We use this data solely to match WhatsApp conversations to the TikTok ad that drove them, and to report that conversion back to TikTok via the TikTok Events API. We do not read message content, sell data, or use it for any other purpose.
Data retention
Conversation and event data are retained in your dashboard for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting the account owner.
